Are you guys seeing ammo loosen up a bit? Its been really hit and miss as far as I have seen. Just wondering whats happening around the state. The reason I am asking is I am a home ffl and have a shot at buying a whole bunch. The problem is that I cant afford to tie up too much money so I would need to sell it quick. If its starting to come available then I could end up getting stuck with it longer than I can do. Not trying to poach off fellow arfcommers, just trying to figure out what to do. Thanks |

I would hold off. Ammo is slower to come down than the Guns. But its getting better. Generally, yes. The shelves in the mid-valley are looking much fuller than they were three or six months ago. The highly desirable stuff like 9mm and 5.56 (below $0.40/rd anyway) is still scarce, however. |
| I've had good luck in the Hillsboro area lately. Fred Meyer had 9, 40, 45, and .223 last time I was there (even if their prices were 50% higher) and one of the local guns shops seemed to have full shelves last time I was in. I've seen a lot more plinking rounds that personal defense rounds though. |

Quoted: And will think poorly of your ethics. Quoted: Quoted: Depends. If you are selling at a very reasonable price then I'd say go for it. If the price is still jacked up then forget it. I think most people are sick of seeing outrageous prices and aren't willing to pay them. And will think poorly of your ethics. yeah, I don't do it that way.........I would rather someone come back and buy something again instead of taking them for all they got once. That and its just not cool to do business that way. From what I've seen ammo is still pretty hit and miss and through the roof price. Guess I'll go for it :) |

I've been keeping a list of all the people selling stuff for an exaggerated amount. 50¢ x39, $50 pmags, etc. If I saw it, the name went onto a very long list.
Between arfcom and NWFA, that list is longer than I can actually manage. But I'll be keeping it around for the near future, so that I can avoid buying or selling to people on it.

That means that the dealers will not be able to sell as many of them, because their large order aren't being fulfilled. Since they are no longer able to sell 1000 of the item with, let's say, $5.00 profit, they might have to sell 500 of them with $10 profit. If they sold a smaller number of items with the same profit as before, they might not be able to keep their doors open. |
