So ive narrowed it down to 16 inch barrel but thats about it im open to whatever i can find thats of decent quality.  Looking to spend 200-250 maybe more if its worth it.  These are a few that im looking at just need some input.  Also dont care if its mid length or carbine as it seems that they will both work if set up right which i will make sure of also chrome lined is a plus but it doesnt have to be.  and twist i would prefer 1-7 but 1-8 or 1-9 will work to from what i have read.
sotta arms chrome lined
cmttac chrome lined
joe bob non chrome lined

The rail i will be getting for one of these is down to three right now also still deciding on that. These are what i have been looking at still need a low pro gas block too.
diamonhead 13.5
sampson evo 12.37 or 15

I'd say save up and get a quality barrel with a known manufacturer. $250 would be okay for a Daniel defense or noveske, maybe even BCM (non hammer forged). But I'd shoot for something less expensive. FN, spikes, PSA, or even a take off from a s&w, stag, bushmaster, etc etc. these should all be right around $200. I would definitely go with something chrome lined. Most of all, get what you want the first time and get a decent quality barrel.

Keep an eye on the equipment exchange on here, both the new upper receiver thread and the used... Lots of people post "take off" stuff as used. Also, set up page monitors for websites.  Stuff comes in stock fairly often, but it's gone in 15 minutes or less, so if you aren't paying attention, you'll never know it was ever available.

Nice find but I sure wouldn't pay that much. I picked one up brand new in package on the EE for $211 shipped in January

Used, but not a bad deal. These barrels are supposedly pretty nice. The melonite treating is supposed be to better than chrome lined. I would offer $210 or 200 for this

Cant help on the barrel never heard of any you listed. Rainier is kind of on my shit list but I have 2 of their (samson) evo rails and really like them.
