You were told wrong.
10 rounds or less (total mag cap)-your fine with a BB. You do not have to crack open your rifle for reloads, just use a 'thingy' or spare five-five- six round to manipulate the button, and perform your mag change. Any 30 rounders inside a BB equipped OLL is a no-no. But, do not take my word for it-check here in the FAQs or calgunsdotnet, or even google. Heck, with ammo being as expensive as it is, I use 10 rounders in my RAW ARs'. That, and I don't like visually broadcasting that I am uberkewl with lotsa grandfathered 30 rounders...but mostly because of ammo costs and it draws way less attention. I spend more time shooting and coaching that way, and less time explaining the law to lookeeloos or a FUD. |

Typical gun store clerks/commandos dont know any better. Just make sure the lower isnt on either of the ban lists. Also the rifle needs to be more than 30 inches long with the stock fully collapsed (I think its 30... might be 32) |
