I don't know diddly about cameras, but I know you'll like the 10x optical zoom. You can actually see the same stuff on the pics that you could with your eye, and often better. (after having only 3X zoom in my case)

Looks good to me, Phil will be along shortly with expert info. He knows about these things.

My brother has the older version of that, and he likes his a lot.

Takes pretty nice pictures for a non-SLR camera.

I like this digital camera website for reviews but they don't list this model.

What model are you? Do you have split-screen or slow motion features? What about your nipples, do they have the temperature and radio functions?

This is just my opinion, worth less than you paid for it.

Since I have gone digital SLR, I am not looking back.  Nope, no way.  If you can afford it, and know how an SLR camera works, or can learn about the basic SLR camera and photography concepts, you will not be sorry about the scratch you put out.  The ability to change lenses for the perfect shot, near or foar, choose output formats to match the end quality you want, and versatility of the camera itself is totally amazing to me.  I learn something new about how to shoot pictures every time I take it out of the box.

I recommend you start here.  There are lots of things to consider before spending money on something you want to use and enjoy.  you didn't just haul off and buy a gun because it was on sale without knowing anything about it, didja?

Digital Photography Review Buying Guide/Questionnaire  Actually, never mind, I tried to use it and it sucked out loud.  Just read about similar models if you can and form your opinion that way.

if you don't know what they are asking you for, than just leave it "Don;t Mind".

I would suggest a canon rebel.  It was featured on TechTV a while back for being a very affordable SLR that took top quality pictures.  The only negative the guy said was that it felt like a fragile case.

Fujis in general have a horrible shutter release delay.  Push the shutter release and sometime in the next 5 minutes the camera will get around to making up it's mind to take the shot.

It uses AA bateries so you'll want to buy a couple of sets of Nicads.

It has a 10x optical zoom which is nice but it's biased towards the telephoto end; ending up a little tight on the wide end.

Seems to have a good macro range.

The maximum aperture on the lens is 3.5 and the max shutter speed is 1/1000 that camera won't be stopping any really fast action.

This is a 1/4000 sec exposure and the action on the pistol is blurred because it's moving so fast.

As designed it's a big block that's not very good for being dropped into a pocket to have with you all of the time.

Lastly you really need to go and handle a camera and check out the controls to see if they  suit you.
