I always just used the lathe...

Rifle. I don't have access to a lathe good enough to cut a decent crown.

What caliber are you crowning? I have a hand facing and crowning tool, but I only have a .308 center for it. I been thinking about getting a few more for it, let me know and I may just order what you need if it's something I can use myself.

My bad. I just checked Brownells catalog and each unit is caliber specific. I thought you could just order new center guides, but I was wrong. If you're doing .308, we're good to go. Otherwise, sorry I'm no help!
