If we decide to do it, I'll be bringing 2 guests again.  A new guy and Mr. Jackson again.  Mr. Jackson really got a kick out of our bump firing last time.

The best day for me would be the 12th.  I just hope something "official" isn't scheduled on that day.

Mobile.  The range we meet at is just over the state line in Mississippi.  The east end of Pascagoula to be exact.  You're pretty far away from us.  You might check in with The_Beer_Slayer and those guys.  They are closer to you and they have get togethers all the time.  I believe they call them FOP shoots.

You can also check out the Alabama Member Locator to see where most of the Alabama members live.  If you post there, I'll add you to the list.

Already ordered and received from Midway (CR FFL discount).  Also got a mechanical clay thrower and a manual clay thrower, so there will be no shortage of stuff to take pot shots at.  Got a shotty you gonna bring out?

Oh, and I may be little late.  Apparently my daughter has some soccer camp thingy that day from 10 to 12.  As soon as I can get free from that, I'll be on my way.  I'll have everything loaded up before we go to soccer.  I wonder how many of the other soccer moms out there would freak out if they knew of the little arsenal I'll have parked a few yards away.

I'll be out there in the morning, hope nothing is going on!  gotta get some more rounds down the 6BR... thing is shooting so good it's "spooky"  May also go to the gunshow in Gulfport and see if I can trade off a Ruger 243 or Savage 22-250 (60s model 110) for another savage action.... now I have too many barrels and not enough actions!

What a problem to have!

Also running low on VV powder and the shooting center says they're having a hard time getting any...  anyone know who's got some 133, 135 or 140?

I'll have to check Midaway out.  I want to order some more.  I have a C&R FFL, how do you get a discount?

I have my Mossburg 500 that I'll bring.

You just send a signed copy of your CR FFL to them and they give you dealer pricing.  Nothing to it.  Brownell's does the same thing, so you can save $$$ on their stuff as well.

Well now, I don't know that.  It just means that if you look through the Brownell's catalog, you get the stuff at the secret pricing that they list that you aren't supposed to be able to read.  If you already get that, I'd say you are set with them.

If you're gonna be there on Saturday, I'll bring it and show you what I'm talking about.  The person who stuck it to me is, well, me.  I wanted to replace the mushy cushion joint in the steering with something more substantial, hence the (damned expensive) U-Joint.  The U-Joint goes on the new steering box just peachy.  The steering shaft is another thing altogether.  **Sigh**  The joys of trying to modernize 35 year old muscle cars.

Oh, anyone want to chrono their handloads?  I broke down and bought a chrono, so I can bring it if anyone would like....

By "cushion joint" are you talking about the round rubber "sandwich" disc that goes from the coupler to the box???

If so, there are much easier/almost free.. ways to "fix" that, than buy new steering gear...

Yeah, the rag joint.  Only in the 1970 mustang, it's a fiber material, not rubber.  Welding it up wouldn't work if the shaft and the steering box connection weren't 100% in line, which I don't know for sure if they will be.  Hence the U-Joint I bought.  Like I said, trying to modernize this thing is killing me.  But it has urethane suspension bushings, real shocks, new springs all the way around, updated ignition system, modern carburetion, and 4 wheel disc brakes.  So it's getting there.....
