Bradders, the jar is just a test to see if I am paying attention.  I have a bit of a reputation in the SF for collecting the water jars.

That's bollox and you know it, at least you took something to eat and thought to do a dinner pics thread while out hunting, all of the others were done at home using fresh and with the full facilities that your kitchen can offer you. Your streets ahead IMHO.

Not quite 5000... but it should do at least 16 portions  It's a 9 litre pot

I'll freeze most of it and can then be very quickly turned into chilli, lasagne or anything with that sort of base. It's always better cooked for hours (at least 6) slowly at the back of the stove stiring every 30-45 mins or so, and it's even better when it's heated up again out of the freezer!

What's bow hunting like in England?  And what kind of deer is that in your first post?  Is it a fawn?

I'm surprized you went for the MUT instead of the Multitasker.

Got a Multitasker as well.
Bowhunting is banned here, that's just for very occasional fun.

The deer is a Roe Deer and that's a quite old Roebuck, felled with a Ruger .243 and a Berger 105gn VLD

This link says 24-30kg

I know it wasn't that heavy as HMB carried it back on his shoulders and I lifted it into the back of the Land Rover

It was a good evening with the deer, the fox and a hare
