Midway has the electronic micro scale on sale for $20. I have one and it is worth it's weight in gold (especially considering how light it is). |

I know exactly what ya'll mean! I had packages coming all the time last fall. I try not to sweat it, but do put a little strategery into it every now and then. For instance, now I spread the orders out, but order from more than one company thinking maybe it'll come the same day/ same carrier. One time when the first package came, I said, "huh, why didn't they send the rest of the order, it's not all here! I guess it'll come in the next day or so". She probably doesn't buy it, considering the address is right on the package and they never come the same day. Last time she was out of town I ordered some stuff. Too bad I didn't order them in time and they showed up after she was back
So is $20 sale on a scale another excuse to order??? I've been meaning to get into reloading, hmm......... |

I could use another scale, and the price is certainly right (assuming it's not a POS).
I have a 1500 grain Cabelas scale that I paid about $80 for (on sale) and I don't lnow how I ever lived without one. I could get by with less capacity on a second scale, the one I have needed to have a enough capacity to weigh my black powder cannon charges. |

I don't have any .308, but I do have .30-06.
For the same bullet weight, a .308 round should weigh slightly less than a .30-06 because of the shorter case, although with a commercial .30-06 and a thick walled 7.62x51 case the difference would probably be minimal. I randomly selected ten rounds of 150 grain .30-06 Remington Express CORE-LOKT ammo and weighed each of them. The rounds averaged 406.2 grains, with a low of 405.0 and a high of 407.9. So a 750 grain capacity should be plenty for .308, even with the heaviest practical bullets and max powder charge. |
