How many people in SD travel for firearms training classes? What is the going rate for a class?

there are a few guys that travel here to put on classes.
Last year we had Benny Cooley's fighting pistol.
We are working on getting a few guys willing to travel this summer for a carbine course.
I think we have three so far. Four would be better. Let me know if you'd like more details.

eta -Bennie's class was three days and $350, Around 600 rounds .

John Farnam has been to South Dakota several times.  Degrata Tactical usually hosts the class, Degrata.  Farnam will be in Pierre for Advanced Defensive Handgun in April.  I attended this course in Sioux Falls about 3 years ago and it was an outstanding course.  Price was $495 and round count was about 1000 rounds for two days.

As for travel, there are a few training companies within a few states of South Dakota.  In the cities, there is The Defensive Edge.  This is where Meltdown, Dissident and I are hopefully going to later in the year for a carbine course.  Prices are listed on the website.  I don't know any dates yet, but I know Dissident and I talked about later in summer, possibly in the fall.

As a semi unemployed cop and firearms instructor, I was really looking to see how many people are really intrested in training, and what they would be willing to pay for it over all. I am bouncing around accouple ideas right now and depending on what kind of responses I see will depend on what I do with my idea. colt

I might be interested. It sounds like fun. $350 would be pushing my limit a little though. Traveling wouldnt be too much of a problem. I dont think Id go any farther than the cities.
