I concur with "The Land of the Little Horses", the kids will love the different animals. Land of the Little Horses
"The Pub" restaurant / bar has what I think is the best food in Gettysburg (in the square across from the Gettysburg Hotel). The Pub From this area in town you can walk and see lots of neat shops. The Gettysburg Antique Shop is close and has some cool stuff. The view at Little Round Top is quite amazing and relaxing. Then over the hill is Devils Den. Make extra time to enjoy those areas. The kids can climb all over the rocks. There are many Ghost Walks in town. A few years ago there was only one or two. Seems like there are about 10 businesses offer tours now. I dont know which one to recommend but the one next to the Farnsworth Tavern has been there forever. Sachs Covered Bridge. A Link to Sachs Covered Bridge Another neat piece of scenery often missed. The wife and kids will also probably like Boyds Bears. Boyds Bear Country There is an Army Surplus / Supply store down Business Rt 15. Utz potato chip factory is 20 minutes east on Rt 116.
