Job Title Desktop Integration Engineer Job Description Cynergies Solutions Group is looking for qualified candidates for a Desktop Integration Engineer position with one of our clients in the Cleveland, OH area. Job Duties and Responsibilities · Works as a member of a collaborative team responsible for the definition and configuration of desktop/laptop/other end user device operating systems and standards, engineering methodologies, and best practices · Collaborates with peers to create, administer, and optimize desktop solutions · Works effectively on cross-functional teams and under the direction of a Project Manager or technical lead; provides accurate time and cost estimates on assigned work; leads small initiatives when requested · Manages multiple and competing priorities and assignments as required in a dynamic environment, meeting critical deadlines on time and on budget · Evaluates alternatives for deploying, patching, and supporting applications in a managed environment and actively suggests changes that will enhance desktop operations and user experience · Administers the Windows user profile management infrastructure and contributes to the design, creation, and management of physical and virtual workstation images · Provides third level support to diagnose Windows desktop issues and perform root cause analysis; collaborates with first and second level support on production system problems · Adheres to department standards, including problem and change management policies · Completes projects outside of normal business hours if necessary to meet the Firm's objectives · Provides a high level of customer service through commitment and the desire to excel in his/her technical skills and knowledge Experience, Skills, Knowledge · Four year college degree or advanced Windows/desktop certifications (e.g. MCSA Windows 7, MCTIP Windows 7 Enterprise Desktop Administrator) · Minimum of 5 years work experience in application integration and desktop support · Ability to recognize opportunities for change and challenge assumptions regarding current environment and practices, ensuring that department and Firm leaders are aware of and have considered alternatives and understand associated benefits and risks · Practical experience in the distribution of packaged applications · Conceptual knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure technologies · Skilled in desktop integration technologies, toolsets, and methodologies, including one or more of the following: o Symantec Altiris or Microsoft SCCM o Windows Update Process o Flexera Admin Studio (Wise) o Windows Registry Settings o Citrix o Windows Native API o Active Directory o VPN o Desktop Connectivity o AppSense o Powershell Scripting o Intel Security (McAfee) Desktop/laptop Encryption Strategies · Exposure to .Net development and SQL · Working knowledge of the varying nature of software projects and capable of working effectively on small, medium, and large projects, spanning both internal development and product selection/acquisition · Solid analytical, research, writing, and interpersonal skills and able to work effectively with Firm personnel at all levels · Experienced in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution on workstations environments · Detail oriented self-starter and able to work independently and as a member of a collaborative team · Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions · Ability to perform mathematical functions - add, subtract, multiply, divide, percentages · Forward-looking, innovative mind-set, with a desire to continuously improve solutions and adopt emerging technologies Daniel Sifer Talent Manager Cynergies Solutions Group 26301 Curtiss-Wright Parkway, Suite 400 Richmond Heights, OH 44143 Direct: 412.685.4707 Cell: 412.326.9033 [email protected] www.cynergies.net |
