been gone awhile,had some health problems,few surgeries again but i was wondering about a ar15 i throwed together out of spare parts about a few years ago and somebody off the forum in the army bought it off me,anyway i sold it ftf no paperwork that was legal in arkansas right,im pretty sure i asked on here if it was ok...i tried to find who i sold it too ,but cant bring it up. thanks.

thanks, another question just if,what if the rifle was took out of state,he broke it down right in front of me and put it away,but im pretty sure he was from arkansas his wife and him were on their way to  u of a  to see their daughter.thanks.

I believe that rifles can be sold across state lines as well, FTF. The page I have bookmarked for that sort of thing has got unbookmarked, so don't quote me on that just yet though...



Handguns have to go through a FFL, I know.

Letter of the law says if it is a sale across state lines it has to be through an FFL no matter what type of firearm.  I have a friend that just sold a rifle across statelines ftf.  The buyer then went and decided to get all felonious with said rifle.  Didn't work out to well fo rmy friend, but it looks like the ATF is gonna let him walk.  However, he KNEW the guy lived in a different state.  If this guy told you that he was from Arkansas, that covers you pretty much as it shows there was no intent to commit a crime.
