Hey getting ready to start the taxes.
Does anyone know if the kicker check we got needs to be claimed as income to the Feds?

Yes it does.   You should have had the form in the envelope with the check.  My wife has ours somewhere.

ETA:The tax place that did mine said it did'nt need to be on there.

Depends if you itemize your taxes or not.

If you got hit by phase-out of deductions on Schedule A, be aware that you can pro-rata calculate back so you don't overpay for the refunded taxes.

Just like a refund you might have received from your Oregon state income taxes last April, the state reports your income on your social security number just like your employer does.  So the Feds already know you got a kicker and the exact amount down to the penny.
