Last I heard about 8-10 weeks. A buddy of mine applied Dec 17th and received it in the mail around the 1st of Feb. (about 6 weeks)  So who knows?

I got mine back two weeks ago.  The wait time was 5 weeks and one day from when  the completed application, with print cards and payment, was left in the hands of my local police dept.  I am not sure if it matters but I was renewing my four year license with the lifetime license.

My nephew just recived his about 2 weeks ago, that was after a 5 week wait. Morgan County has always been pretty quick and they fill out all of the paperwork too.

I remember 20 years ago getting a renewal in like 1-2 weeks, not complaining, I am in full agreement with issuing the Lifetime Permits!!!

how much for the lifetime permit?
3/13/2008 5:42:40 AM EDT
[#8]
$125 for lifetime (first permit) or $100 for a renewal to lifetime

FWIW, the $100 for renewal to a lifetime permit breaks down as $60 to the State and $40 to the local police/sheriff dept. that does the finger printing, paper work, etc. and sends the application in.

from talking to guys i was working with at the time, it seems like the county in which you apply has a lot of impact on how long it takes

Any idea what the cost breakdown is for a new lifetime permit?  I was at the PO getting ready to send my info to the state and noticed that no where on the paperwork did it state how much to send....Only stated to send MO or certified funds...
