I spent about four hours yesterday at Markham Park. My cousin and I both spent about 450-500 rounds each, rifle and pistol. IMO this is a great range. For $10 on parking and a range fee, you essentially get a double lane. Each position has two target frames. One can be set at a close distance for pistol and another at 50 or 100 yards for rifle. I would shoot my ar at 50 yards for a bit, then stand right up and blow off two mags of 9mm at 15 yards.

The RO's were not bad at all. They are watchful and Safe. Two qualities I prefer in an RO.  They observed us, and after they saw we were safe and aware, there were no issues. Simply handling you weapons safely, double checking their condition and sticking to the four rules was enough for them to have confidence in us.

I will be returning for sure. I give this range 5 stars...

No doubt that Markham is a nicer range than Trail Glades.  You also tend not to get the gold tooth crowd at Markham.  However, the last time I was there they charged me a second fee after the first two hours.  Apparently, the range fee is good for two hours at which point you either leave or pay again.  That pretty much ended my interest in Markham.

It's in West Broward at the intersection of I-595 and I-75.

I didn't think a 2 hour limit was so bad. Most ranges(indoors)charge by the 1/2 hour limits.however my experience with outdoor ranges is limited .The 1 area I did have a problem with was the 3 gun limit rule.

I've never had an issue with the time limits, even when I was there for a bit over 3 hours they didn't hassle me about paying again. Still, it used to not have time limits at all and kind of disappointing now.

i like markham as long as i get there early on the weekends, My issue is the rule against SBR'sand silencers..  When I asked why, i got the old it is the rules and no explaination. So I figure this leaves me to change flash suppresors before I go there again..

Markham is a great range, but you DO have to get there early on the weekends.  Rifle and pistol range is nice and the shotgun range for skeet and trap are gerat as well.
