As I noted in a previous thread, I just moved to California. I want to get my fiance some pepper spray or oc spray. What's legal?

| I don't know all the different designations but I think just your basic pepper sprays. I have a couple cans of Mk4 that I've bought for my previous work, but I believe its a restricted item. You could look into the C2 Taser by Taser international. Expensive but effective, its made by the same company that provides most of the law enforcement grade tasers. Also its mostly unrestricted as far as your fiance being able to carry it in her purse, or car, ect. |

Pepper spray is legal in all 50 states - there may be some local restrictions - you'll have to figure those out on your own.
State law is size limited to 2.5 ounces by weight or 70 grams of OC, CS, or CN. CR (dibenzoxazepine) is not legal for civilian use - it's known to cause an occasional fatality. |
