i went to visit some family in clinton on Tuesday figured i would hit the range on the way.

i have never shot clay pigeons so maybe its a lot harder then it looks.

i watched a couple younger guys missing  throw after throw, so i thought maybe its their first time.

they must have had enough fun cause they dropped the last 4 disk stacked together three feet in front of them and took multiple shots before finally hitting it.

i almost shot it with my pistol for them, before they ended up shooting themselfs in the feet.

Christ they should have just poked the clays with the barrel of the shotgun

not to mention the gentleman who was scrounging everyones brass while they was still shooting

Man, I grew up on that range.  Spent every Saturday there when I was in high school in the early seventies.  Always had an interesting clientele.  Went back a few years ago and I see it hasn't changed much.  Clientele hasn't improved any.  Safety procedures a bit iffy.  But its free and was close to Davenport (my home town).

There has always been a brass rat there.  I shouldn't complain tho, did my fair share of brass scrounging in my day........

Thats one range i never cared for.  I live a couple miles from follets.  WHen ever i shoot i just use my back yard or go to the County Sheriffs range which is staight across the Princeton range about 1 mile to the north.

Yea, but where else can you shoot a bunch of tannerite without the cops trying to bust you.
