I'm not sure what "designed for 1 in 9 or slower twist barrels". mine is 1:7 ? I'm guessing if they are wrong ammo for me, I'll only have issues with accuracy but function will be just fine.... ? Well, the rifle will probably function OK, but accuracy might not be good. Sometimes, light, thin jacketed varmint bullets at high rotational speed, are prone to disintegrate, or come close, in flight. They might be fine, but usually light for caliber bullets work better in slower twist barrels. Even 55 grain is on the light end of what your rifle was designed for. The good news is that a fast twist like yours will likely work well with heavy bullets, 69 and up and will be better at longer ranges. |

HOLY CRAP, granted ammo prices have gone up, but you need to shop better cause that is a rip off! And you were ready to pay $100 for 140 rounds just to shoot in the Pit??? Time to order from an online source. I thought it was high at .50/rd but the online places, that had any ammo, was .42/rd and that was for a 1000rd case. Any specific online vendor? thanks |

Good luck, right now well priced ammo is hard to find, and even harder to get. Consult the Book of Armaments ![]() (aka Ammo Price List) |
