Anybody in the ATL stock scope risers? I need one to mount my scope about 1/2 inch higher on my AR. I'd like to get one tomorrow or sat if possible. Thanks! |

I am very opinionated but... Scope risers suck on an AR. Buy a LaRue mount which places the scope at the proper height and positions the scope forward enough to achieve the proper eye relief. Jason (BigDawg) may actually have some of the mounts in stock. Just my opinion though. Mark |

I agree with Mark in that risers are less than optimal. The only way I'd use one is if I needed something with built in MOA, only because LaRue isn't making the Mk11 mount anymore-even then AI makes a good mount with 28MOA built into it. Hell, the Armalite and RRA mounts aren't bad and don't cost an arm and a leg. |

Buy once, cry once. Even if you already have money in rings or something else, cut your losses and get teh LaRue. Do NOT throw more good money at a less than optimal solution. Trust me, you will be happier in the long run. A year from now the extra money won't seem like such a big deal. If you cannot scrape together the coin now - wait! Do it right. LaRue IS the best way. On a rise, are you just wanting height, or a canted rail too? I've used the GG&G GS1 rail on a couple different guns and it's a nice piece. It let me use standard height Badger rings on my AR10. I think it adds about 1/4" to the to pof the rail. It's one piece. Could you go with taller rings? |

If you just need a cheap quick temporary fix took at Tapco, they use to sell one for $19-29 they work fine for a range blaster. I am looking for a used Larue now for my SPR clone. I have a White Oak Armory 15 MOA riser base that I am gonna sell if I can get a used AI 28MOA base for my 300 whisper. BIGDAWG: Why you put'n that cheap glass on here, I know you got a good Leupold in the house somewhere |
I still haven't mounted the Leupold I got from you yet. I'm not finished with my precision 5.56 build yet. BTW, that's not "cheap" glass. That's a Nikon Monarch UCC Illuminated Mildot 6.5 x 20 x 44 on there. It may not be Leupold, but she's a dead ringer. |

You might want to look at the Badger Ordnance AR Riser. It has 22 MOA built in, and it is about .4" tall. Price with shipping is around $95. Badger Riser |
