so after watching Sen Grothmans latest video, I began to wonder, why the HELL are police not escorting these guys in and out of the capitol?
what is it going to take to get these guys a safe means of transportation to their jobs? someone getting beaten? stabbed? shot?
i wonder how much it would cost to hire some XE guys for a few weeks to provide security till this bill is passed...
Sen Grothman has a huge set of balls to walk alone through that crowd. none of them will confirm his side of the story if something happens.

edited to add link of the event...

I believe if he didn't get the help from an orange shirt, they would have kicked his ass.  Look at how quickly that scene moved –– typical mob behavior.

It is time for real security –– barricades, etc.  Screw 'em and the media spin it will get.  The whole thing should have improved security, permanently.  Regardless of who the Governor is –– Republican or Democrat.  Access for the people?  Sure.  Free for all?  Nope.

I do find some comfort in the fact they have brought in only the best and brightest to plan their subversive Capitol ops.

Watch the video.  It will put you in a strange state of feeling sick and angry yet laughing your ass off at the comedy gold –– all at the same time.

Overly dramatic. Sounds more like someone had a hole in their pocket, and they really expected to find a gun with the rounds?

And how much damage can tape to do stone?? If they were taping crap to wood walls and stuff, sure, I can imagine the damage, but most the interior walls are stone, and all the exterior walls are stone.

Wanna have some fun with .22s? Got a 2-stage snow-blower? If so, next time it snows, throw a handful of .22s in the snow, then hit that area with your 2 stage snowblower. Snap, crackle, pop.

Seriously, don't try this at home.

I can't believe none of these Republican's are coming in thru the tunnels just like Walker to avoid the bullshit.

if i was walker i would go through the crowd... with proper security of course.
the animals would not be able to contain them self.
this would show them for what they truly are, a unruly mob composing the minority view of the state of wisconsin, who are aware of this, and as such are resorting to intimidation and fear as a last ditch effort to save their ass

Now that we have one issue resolved, I really want to know who is going to pay for the 7.5 million dollars in damage?

Who shall we send the invoice to? It shouldn't be the taxpayers. I have a few ideas.

Did you read that? 7.5 million dollars in damage!

...before one of the obvious few asks if I really believe the damage could possibly equal 7.5 million, the answer is yes I do.

It's just that they figured it being a taxpayer funded job, they would have to factor in the public union represented labor rates/benefits to come up with the total.

Private sector services –– a million to a million five tops, done just as well in half the time.

What should happen is the union and state democratic party should be sued to recover the all costs associated with their actions and maybe they could be forced into bankruptcy like a certain southern hate organisation was a decade ago.

Latest estimate is 7 Million dollars of damage to the interior stone work.

I looked it up and apparently the acid in the adhesive can etch the marble. They even make special tape that can be used on marble but its big $. Supposedly polished marble etches easier. I've never been in the capitol (first time there I had a gun on my hip and it was closed anyway, second time it was full of hippies) but I assume it's highly polished.

Having never worked with any stone, I have a hard time believing it's going to cost $7,000,000 to fix it. Now if it has to be removed and surface ground then I guess it can get up there, otherwise I have a buffer and I will travel!

Yeah, but that was only if the repair work was done by union employees.

The "real" estimate is $350,000 in clean-up, both inside and out.
