No name 20" upper on a RRA lower. Sold to me as a M&A parts upper. But its not.
First 300 rounds, no problem.
But then......
Round fires, bolt stays in battery. Cleared and cleaned.
Next time bolt comes back and locks, case in chamber.
This is repeated with 4 brands of ammo including rem. .223 and win. 5.56.
Chamber is clean but tool marks are visible.
Bolt moves freely by hand.
Any suggestions?

No gas.

check to see if your gas block is loose or shifted. Check to see if you blew out your gas rings.

Now that the period is in the correct place....

Working the action by hand results in a loaded round stuck in the chamber. Takes lots of effort to clear it.

CCan't figure this one out.

Will it cycle rounds manualy?
also after you cycle a round check it for any marks that should not be there

If the above works pull your handguards and see of the gas tube is loose or has blow by marks (if it is black where the tube goes into the FSB)

If the above is good check out the bolt parts like the little goose neck looking thing on top of the bolt make sure that is tight and pull the bolt out of the carrier and check the gas rings

If that wont fix it take a 100' string and add a hook every 24" and tie the string around the carring handle go to the lake bait the hooks stand at the waters edge and throw the gun as hard as you can while holding the other end of the string
