I have one of those & a fixed stock waiting to be put together.

I only bought them because of their "evilness" & to piss off liberals, and because 7.62 X 39 was cheap at the time.

I have a fixed stock SA-M7.  However, the voices in my head have been telling me to look at an underfolder for the same reason as yours.

Basically the same as a handgun.

"Ass ault weapons" fall under their own special category of long arms which need to be transferred on a permit (permit to purchase or permit to carry).  

AK47 variants fall in this category.
