| Can we legally buy and own a switchblade with a CCW permit in FL? |
|
I am not a lawyer.
But I recommend printing out THIS STATUTE if you plan on carrying a switchblade. The language that will keep you out of jail is clear in 2(a) |

Quoted: Also you do not need a permit to buy it, only to carry it. This is because Florida allows carry of a "common pocket knife" as a tool, but the auto is not a "common pocket knife." The purchasing part may be a little difficult. For a civillian you have to find a distributor who is willing to break the federal Switchblade Act. |

I believe that only applies to purchasing across state lines. Further .............. the state does not preempt local laws governing knives, check your local statutes. |

There are plenty of places to buy an automatic knife in Florida.... Hell, any gunshow usually has at least a few people selling them. |
