So is it rude to be waiting at the fun store for UPS to show up? I am thinking maybe give them a day to process stuff in so I am not all in their face wanting my new toy. Any thoughts on this? |
| I do not believe it is rude you are waiting on a new toy I suppose. The other week I was waiting on the phone with the IRS to fax me something and it took nearly 45 minutes. I was in Staples, I know I looked suspicious as hell with the phone to my ear saying nothing, loss prevention talked to me before I finally got the fax. |

Rifle is going through 400 and they are good people and don't charge very much for the transfer, so i would feel bad about being a pain in the ass to them. |

Ups doesnt run at 400 till in the afternoon ... usually after like 3 or so ....... |
| They still have to log the weapon in and then insure all of the documentation is complete, prior to transacting the 4473 to give the gun to you... My personal opinion is that although it is not rude...it may cause some disruption of their sales duties.. I recently had 2 guns transfer in (one to PSI and one to 400 Pawn) I called when the guns arrived and asked them when a convenient time to pick up the guns would be... giving them enough time to process the gun.. at $20 or $25 a pop for a transfer.. they are not getting rich... I look upon this as them doing a favor for customers.... just my 2 cents. worth... |

Just bring in a Triumph the Insult Dog puppet and go around the store saying "Is someone going to give me my gun, or do I have to find something to poop on!" :)
Seriously though, I have had a few guns transferred in, and each time the shop was very quick to turn it around. If you go there on a weekday when the store is slow, it is much easier for them to take care of it for you. If you show up on a Friday or Saturday when they are swamped, you are last in the queue for them wanting to help out. 400 is always busy, but they have always found time for everyone. |

Quoted: Quoted: Depends on your relationship with the gun store employees/owners. Nonsense! It depends on two things and two things alone! 1 what is the toy. 2 are there any hot female employees available to flirt with! Hehehe Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile 1. PTR91 2. As best I can tell 400 is a sausage fest. Think I will just hit them as they open the doors on Thurs. |

Hey I just picked up an HK-11 clone (from PSI).... so I can use my HK sear....If you have a full auto carrier and want to try your PTR in Rock and Roll Mode.... Let me know... The great thing about your PTR is mags are cheap as hell!! I purchased 100 HK-91 Mags for about $100 when Tapco had a special a year or two back....

I like to move transfers out ASAP.
We make very little on transfers and I would hate for something to happen to the gun while it was in my care not to mention we are hurting for room right now. Get that gun out of my way and we are both happy. I'm sure it varies from place to place but that's my view on the subject. TD |

It's not rude to hang out.
UPS runs between 12 and 5. Depends on if we have air packages or not. So long as I grab your box first I can have it logged in and you out the door in under 5 minutes. I STRONGLY URGE that any transfer that any of you guys have done with any gunshop- make sure that the shop sending the firearm has your NAME and Phone Number somewhere on the FFL/Invoice/Etc. As previously mentioned we're pretty busy and if all that shit is together when I log it in you get called faster and things don't go to the back without you being contacted. Yes, there is a young lady we have working for us. First thing in the am usually not a good time. If you've ever been there have you seen all that shit that sits on the sidewalk? It has to be pushed out every morning and drug in every evening. To say that it sucks ass would be an understatement. Between that and the phone ringing off the hook first thing in the morning usually try and give me till at least quarter after to get things straight. A honey bun or bear claw may or may not speed things along.

Not to POOP on your parade but are you aware of the ammo issues with the new PTR's? Click for more info if you want. Basicly the flutes in the chamber are not cut to HK specs. and there are several types of ammo that will not work with these chambers. PTR will do nothing to help. I bought one a month ago and then found out all this after the fact. I got mine from CDNN and they would not help either B/C it had allready been shot.
Here is the letter you will get with it.

I am thinking if i like this decent enough (i have always wanted one), I will just spring for the real deal sometime in the spring and sell this rifle. |

Ever gun I have purchase in the last two years has been from you guys or from Mark with the exception of going to Athens to pick up a couple USPs ![]() |

Quoted: I wasn't trying to make them sound like crap, they are very nice guns and mine was VERY accurate. I just wanted to make you aware of the ammo issues. no worries bro, appreciate the heads up but yeah I had done my homework on them. I own 7 SKSs, some people are not that impressed but I love them...my taste in firearms has been questioned before. lol. |
