those look like more of a dress wool pant.  i have some swedish ones that are pretty good for winter.  i bought some that look like those a few years ago...they were wool, and warmer than jeans, but not really up to the task of cold MN winters.  a friend of mine that was a fishing guide on Lake of the Woods swore by the you always see at fleet supply srores.....dark gary wool w/red pattern overlayed on it.  L&M Fleet in the North or Mills Fleet Farm in the South.  gander and cabela's may carry them also.

yeah i wondered about the ones i posted.

a hunting buddy has a pair of green wool pants, but i dont know where he got them from.

i always wear long johns, jeans, and bibs when im in the deer stand, i think this weekend might be abit cooler so i thought maybe the wool pants might help just a little bit.

whatever the case, i need to find some locally by friday

UnderArmor Cold Gear Leggings and Mock Turtlenecks.

This is what I wear as my first layer for Duck Hunting, then I wear Long underwear top and bottom.

The UnderArmor stuff is $$$ but it so worth it.

i thought about that too. i use their hot weather boxer shorts in the summer. 20 dollars a pair, but in the 99 degree weather, they keep your balls dry!

wonder where i could find that in the TC

Scheel's and REI good places to find "performance" cold weather clothing.  Mills Fleet Farm, Gander, and Cabela's are good for "hunting/fishing" cold weather clothing.  i have worked outside in the winter at certain times in my life......all i can say is spend the little exta $ and get quality.  You will be warmer for longer.

Any wool product is the bomb.  What else is stain, heat and water resistant.

went to mills fleet farm but they didnt have any wool pants that really looked that great, or looked like what i wanted all together.

i ended up getting some pants made by wrangler, insulated with thinsulate, with real tree camo pattern on the outside. ~$46.00 for one pair.

i hope these work decent, with long johns under neath, and bibs over them i cant see myself getting much warmer in that area.

wool retains 80% of it's thermal protection when wet -- cotton on the other hand loses 80%.
