Well, that depends who makes the parts.
In the 90's, a talented young machinist set out to make the finest 1911 parts available. He succeeded. He showed his talents to Colt. There were samples. Over pizza last night (NEVER underestimate the power of a Bacon and onion pie), these samples came to me. They are perfection. My gunsmith almost wept over their splendiferousness. Two sets are going into the boys. Once simply awesome they are now even awesomer. You Austrian disposable flatware owners will never understand. : 
The machinist? Turned out he knew a thing or two about making the best of everything he touches. He did OK for himself. 
Oh and he made slides too.... :

My friend since fourth grade worked for Colt in the 1990s. That's when he met ML. A few weeks ago, I showed him my OBR. He looked at it and said "LaRue...Mark LaRue? I know him. I have some stuff you may like" And then the clouds parted, the sun shone down and the parts flowed. Life is good.

Thanks for posting this! Your very lucky to have the funds / luck / etc. to acquire those fine 1911's ...
I hope your LaRue 1911 collection / museum will turn out as good as the dillo collection but I thinks its' going to cost a ton of Washington's and Franklin"s.
