| I know it's been asked but I can't find info. Is magpul going to offer a 40 rounder in the future?? |
|
I'll take a Magpul double stack 60 over a Surefire anytime.
Hopefully they are working on this too! The blueprints for the Magpul mag were posted awhile ago, so we can only hope they are going forward with it. Not sure the round count was ever stated though. While we're on the subject, I wish they would bring back plans for a clear 30. |

I take it the 40rnd mag is abandoned? Is the MS3 abandoned? Hell no it's not. Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell No we didn't. So it's been a small while since it was put on the schedule (shot show 2009?). So what. You damned baby boomers all want something yesterday. Now go back to your basement and your so special World of Warcraft game and leave us adults alone.
Edit: The above is um Sarcasm... |

Edit: The above is um Sarcasm... Um, since when did the Germans bomb Pearl Harbor? Back on track: Yeah, I'd go for a P-Mag 40 over a Surefire 60. My surefire 60 has fed reliably every time, but it doesn't drop free from all my lowers when empty. |

In stock at SKD Tac. Just placed my order. Am I missing something? I had them on backorder there, got the email saying they were in stock and got in an order for five. I checked the next day and they were sold out, I will update here when I receive them. |

I think Magpul would have posted that they were shipping to dealers if they were available. |

The 40 rounder is not dead. We just had some research and development work to do regarding magazines that delayed the release. That is all I can say within the bounds of the sig line restriction! OK, Im going to presume most of us here have a clue. Now, going from 30 to 40 is a simple thing. Add a bigger spring, new molds for bigger bodies, same followers, same floorplate. Its not that hard. Come on Magpul dont blow smoke. Please get them out by March. Us 3 gunners really would like them. |

Wasn't trying to be funny, BS anyone or jerk your chains. I really did order on SKD Thursday. Got this email this morning:
I'm sorry for your trouble with this one. I'm afraid the site may have allowed you to order an item that is currently out of stock. Normally our site prevents this from happening, but I think this one was a matter of human error. We will issue a refund to your charge card for this order. Please allow the standard 5-10 business days for this refund to show on your billing statement. If I can help more just let me know. Stay safe. Dwayne SKD Tactical

Matter of fact, I'd bet a tidy sum that you have one already. Just not released. |

No doubt they have a few. But with any firearm part of accessory, it needs to be tested..... and then tested some more. When we made a new part or a modification to an existing one, it had a minimum of a 1000 rds run through it. 50BMG isn't cheap, but it's cheaper than having a bunch of *whatever widget* out there then some little hiccup occur then every Tom, Dick and Harry jumping up and down yelling on the Internet "Don't buy XYZ because it's crap"
Gunowners are too fickle. They have the IGG (instant gratification genie) syndrome way too badly. |
| Well, I will just order a few more C-Mags. Sorry guys but there are more fish in the sea. Good luck with your mags but the are like unobtainiaum and I want a product NOW not in the future of when your damn good and ready. Metal bodied mags have served this platform since day one and still do. Plus the Cmags are easily half the price and as reliable as the sun coming up. |

The only reason metal mags are half the price is due to market disruption caused by the pmag Magpul keep up the good work. As usual I am more than willing to wait for the finished product |

If you're talking about our 40-round PMAG then of course they are unobtainable, since they have not been released and are still in development... |
