I found a guy with a NIB R6530 that he might be willing to part with for a fair price. Anybody have any opinions about the 6530 and also, what would be a fair price for it?

$1100

About the same as a 6920. How do they compare against each other?

IIRC the only difference would be the M4 barrel and detachable carry handle on the 6920.
I prefer a lightweight barrel, but IMO the flattop is better for optics.

So for my gun I put a lightweight barrel on a 6920.
The M4 style barrel is easy to sell on the EE.

But now days there is a 6720 from Clydes armory that I would purchase instead.

ETA: Not sure if the 6530 you are talking about is a true preban with bayo lug and sliding buttstock,
or the blue label preban without the bayo lug and fixed buttstock.

It's a blue label preban. Does that change the value?
