i was reading thru some of your posts and it seems that they have switched to the small takedown pins

just ordered one and wanted to know if there is a place that has one for sure with the large ones, incase mine is not

any info would be apreciated

The pin sizes that have recently changed are the fire control pins. They have gone from .170 to .154. These are what hold the trigger and hammer.

You don't have to worry about the pivot or takedown pins.

Just take a picture and post it here. We'll tell you if it original or not.

If you don't mind me asking, where did you order it from?

ETA: It doesn't matter if the FCG pins are .170 or .154. Either one will be an original Colt LE6920, assuming it comes in a blue labeled box and all...

i cant even keep track of all the gun releated crap ive got going on

looking for a "original" 6920

trying to built a varmint slayer based off of a delton lower with a a2 stock and rra two stage trigger, fulton nm slickside upper, young manufaturing nm carrier,jp high performance bolt, and heart barrel in a 1:8, white oak varmint forarm with extend gas tube

also looking at a 338LM with a surgeon action...not usre whatelse ill get

maybe a lilja barrel and mcmillan stock...looks like it will be almost a year before i get that built

and of course a POS chrome lined ak47


after my bills etc..all my money goes to rifles



my family are harcore colt fans....we have every thing from a colt 22 bolt action..to a 44 ss anaconda

2 pythons, .22 colt ace..45 70s model, gold cup, colteer, king cobra..etc..

if colt produced in the last 30 years we probably have it

like i said i want a "original" 6920, and hopefully a m203. if i had the dime i would get a m16 with a 203

Just got my new 6920 today, SN 607xx.  It has the large pins.


Really? That's very surprising. I thought they changed them all over to the smaller pins by the time you get that high in serial numbers

I've physically held one with a sn 58XXX that had .154 pins.

All that bitching over pin size and half you tards can't tell the difference.
