I have a question about the upper receiver,  What are the markings on the front of the upper before the dust cover?

I have one more question does this lighten up my barrel?  haha I remember 9 or 10 years ago seeing this marking and couldn't refuse not to buy.

The first two pics are the proof marks, Colt stopped this on civi rifles a while back, those are on every DOD I've ever seen. The barrel is...intersting

if it makes you feel better, 11/77 twist rate is the same as 1/7 but thal cal I would worry about. never saw a double stamp bbl before.

The barrel marks were made by someone who stuttered.  Don't make fun of stutterers.
