I placed an order about 3 weeks ago and was told that the upper would be held up by the lack of bolts for 7.62 uppers.  I was just wondering if there is an expected time of arrival for these bolts yet?  I know that there is a rush on everything since the election but any information would be nice to have.  Thanks for your help.  I lookforward to hearing from someone.

I ordered my 7.62x39 upper Nov 1 and was told the same thing....bolts backordered with no definate delivery time from their vendor.

And now I've read that they handle orders as they can complete them, you may get the bolts in, but maybe the other parts are backordered due to all the other uppers and parts orders they can finish.  They don't have the kind of software that "pre-issues" components, if I've read the threads right.  BUT I HOLD OUT HOPE, since they seem to be a very UPRIGHT group of people, who care about their customers!!!

I'm really hoping that it's not that way, and they build the uppers complete as possible and put them on a shelf waiting for the missing parts, but that doesn't seem practicle to have hundreds of partial uppers stacked up waiting for backordered stuff.  But who knows?

It's kind of worrysome that what's complete today may be completely out tomorrow, since they have sooooooo many orders coming in.  It must be really mind boggling for them sometimes...o.k. always...

Don't worry, with the 7.62 uppers we'll have the stuff as soon as those bolts come in!  We've got everything else for them and wont run out!!!
I'm not sure how long the bolts will be, I'll see if I can get an idea for you!

Any chance of getting the upper without the bolt?
I plan on installing the MGI's Enhanced Bolt anyway.
My 7.62 upper minus the bolt, at the same price...

DEAL or NO DEAL...?

Order #24734

Also, please cancel the (2) LP104 - AR-15 Complete Lower Parts Kit
from the order. Got them elsewhere.

And THANKS! Kassandra

Did you ever get an answer?  And, by the way, are these DPMS bolts or someone else?  Just curious!!!

Thanks for all you do!!!

One week BTTT.  still no idea when these bolts will arrive?  Its been three weeks since my initial post and no progress has been made?  Anyone able to make a phone call to the supplier?  I don't mean to be pushy, but can it really take that long to get an approximate time of delivery?

I'm having trouble getting a response, also.  They must really be behind even more.  Or, they just can't get ahold of their supplier.  If it's DPMS, they've locked out their web site for ordering due to backlog of orders that need to be filled for contracts/distributors...[>:/]

If someone could convert those two GM auto plants that closed in Detroit the other day to AR-15 component production facilities, they would make a fortune.

Guys, we have no idea.  We do get them from DPMS, and we haven't gotten in a single shipment from them within the last 4-5 weeks.  I don't know what's going on over there.  I thought we were backed up!!!  So, I really don't have an ETA on them.  We've called and asked about orders and all they can tell us is they're running behind.  So, I wish I had a better answer, but I just don't know.
The only option I've got for you is to ship it without the bolt.  We've got a few people who have done that...they'll get it without the bolt only (still get the carrier, key and all the other parts), then find a bolt locally.
We're working on finding someone else who can make the 7.62 bolts, but right now finding a new supplier for anything is tough!
Merry Christmas!

Thank you for the reply Kasandra.  Would it be possible to have the upper sent minus the bolt and then have the bolt sent at a later date when they become available?  I have read that these bolts are not the ultimate in terms of reliability and wouldnt't mind having a spare one around.

I know you all are hard a work and I do appreciate all you are doing.  I hope you all have a nice holiday.

Thanks Kassandra!!!

I'll wait, just wanted to find out if they were the DPMS ones.

You people still ROCK!

Oh boy...

Let the worrying begin...

Just was at the DPMS site, finally able to access it.  And NO LISTINGS for 7.62x39!!!!!!  No uppers, no lowers, no bolts, no mags, no NOTHING!!!!  They seem to have discontinued their production in every way shape and form...

I REALLY want this upper, but if I get it without the bolt, the MGI at nearly $200 is rediculous!!!  And I DO WANT IT TO BE A DTI UPPER!!!

Kassandra,

Just noticed a place just got in their DPMS (possibly last on earth ) 7.62x39 bolts.  Maybe, just maybe, yours are coming/arriving?

On happenstance, is there a price reduction without the bolt on the upper...and if so, is it $70 listed or cost?

Please let me know!!!

Thanks again for you time, trouble, effort, and labors,

Shane H.

Three week BTTT for any new or updated information.  I got my mags from C-Products the other day.  So I have mags, ammo, brass/bullets for reloading and dies to match.  Now all I need is the upper and I am ready to get out there.   Any new info as to delivery dates, or a new source for the bolts?  Hope to hear from someone soon.

One month BTTT for any relevant new information anyone can provide?  Any news on ETA?  Change in supplier of bolts?  I hope I can get some new information along those lines.

double tap.

4 month BTTT.  any information about estimated time of arrival of missing parts necessary to complete a 7.62x39 upper?
3/25/2009 6:03:53 AM EDT
[#23]
People have been waiting for almost 4 months for the 7.62 uppers they ordered with no estimated delivery time....Why do you still have them up for order on your site? Until you see a glimmer of hope in being able to deliver, you should have them as OOS.

5 month BTTT.  Can anyone call your supplier and get an ETA for those of us that have one of these 7.62x39 uppers on order? When was the last time that one of thezse uppers or kits was shipped out?  Are some parts coming in at a slow pace or have you not received any of the alleged missing bolts in 5 months?

On a side note can you inform me of how credit card information is stored when someone phones in an order?  I had someone steal my CC info and was trying to track down where it came from.  Is my information written down on a piece of paper on someones desk for 5 months?  Is it stored in an encrypted database that only someone with security clearance can access?  I am sure that others might want to know this to make their waits less nerve wracking.

As a credit card merchant Del-Ton has strict rules they must follow known as PCI (Payment Card Industry). Failure to follow these rules, and there are audits, will result in huge fines, or having their merchant account revoked. If you want to see some of the hoops they must jump through to be compliant, see PCI Security Standards Council

Not saying that breaches don't happen, but most fraud these days are from restaurant servers and retail cashiers using a skimming device to steal card track info before it is ever swiped.

To add a little fuel to the fire...

I just got hit on my Debit/CC for $100 through Paypal processing.  Got a call from my banks fraud detection department. They initially were questioning my recent Del-ton order authenticity then went to the $100. Paypal said the charge is fraudulent and run through Turkey and not related to my Paypal account. This is the first time I ever had an incident and I made an order with Del-ton Last week (and this week as well) with the card that was compromised. Hopefully just a coincidence, hopefully. Paypal is going to do their thing and try to get to the bottom of it.
