I just purchased NIB RRA A4 upper with the FF handguard. The bbl., measured from the bolt face to the end of the FH is 9 1/2". The only upper of this type on your web site is listed as 7" or 10 1/2". I know mine isn't 10 1/2".
So, I'm curious, is my upper older or newer or a special run for someone?

Thanks.

Here it is...

You measure from the bolt face (closed) to the last PERMANENT edge of the barrel.  As long as the flash hider isn't welded to the barrel (yours shouldn't be), the last permanent portion of the barrel is the barrel's face...which is "under" the flash hider.  If you subtracted the length of the flash hider, then added the length of overlapping thread (barrel and flash hider, approx 5/8") you would be at you 7" ish measurement.

Thank you.
I did something of that sort and got around 7 1/2". Close enough.

Steve;

I just wanted to say thanks to RRA for building such a great upper. I had a chnace to try it out yesterday w/my BM lower.
The accuracy out of this 7" bbl. is nothing short of match grade.
