I purchased a AAC 762 SD and a 51T blackout flash hider. The one that I selected was 1/2x28 in 7.62 caliber. This flash hider will be mounted on a 5.56 rifle.

Did I select the wrong flash hider? I have not opened the package and wanted to make sure it was the right one first.

I also purchased a 5/8x24 in 7.62 for my .308 bolt gun.

That one will for fine. There are two different ones. One with a 5.56 size hold and one with a 7.62 size. Both will work on 556 rifles.
