Steve,

Can you answer the question about whether BATF ever approved the OPS2 Repro brake for post ban use?

Thread from AR forum

I had to switch out my preban lower for a post ban lower on my SPR and now need to find a post ban BATF approved SPR brake.

Thanks

They are NOT yet approved as post-ban legal. With September coming, they dont seem to be in a hurry to get back to me....

Another option is to take a real OPS INC "4-port" (technicall 2 chamber) brake from brownells and remove the front chamber.  The patented baffle design of the OPS brake is in the first chamber. It would be next to impossible to call thae modified brake not legal, since it retains all the patented parts which make it a brake.  I thn press on a fake thread protector and it looks just right from 5' away. This is kinda expensive though. If you buy the brake from brownells and send it to me, I can modify/install it for $50.

BigBore - Thanks for the update. Are there any other options for a legal 'post ban' SPR solution? I am starting to think that I need to keep my preban lower just to install a brake, which is an expensive 'brake' (and makes no logical sense at all to me).

Are there any other options for a SPR built on a post ban lower?
