Note: Fall/Winter 2008

I miss those days and I completely missed the better days that preceded these!

ETA: Rainy day here - cleaning out the cave and found this.

Honestly, the prices now aren't that much higher.  I have to give Bryan and the guys credit, they've been keeping the prices low.

Just a reminder of why you have the industry's most loyal customers.    I remember that note on the top right hand corner, "NO credit card fees."

We DON'T forget...

I noticed that too.  The biggest impression on me were the prices on some of the guns, surplus ammo and the general availability back then.

The most surprising thing about that flyer is that they could have a steady enough supply of some of those items to be able to design, print, and distribute flyers, knowing that stuff would be in stock and available for those prices when the flyer arrived.

I think i have that flyer somewhere!

Last print flyer that went out from AIM I think...

Oooh yeah...Obama gets elected and then we launch the catalog.  Talk about a cluster...

I was hired I think a week before Labor Day '08 as a warehouse shipper.  The phrase "that escalated quickly" doesn't begin to describe that time for me...

ETA: jnk, yes that was the last print flyer.  Nowadays not much stays around long enough.  When you consider the cost and time required to put out a flyer, it's hard to plan that far in advance to know for sure what will be here and what the price will be.

75 round bulgarian 7.62 x 39 ak drums?

I agree the fact that prices haven't crept up that much is a testament to AIM's doing what they can to keep prices low.

The biggest thing I kick myself over (from that flyer) is not getting more tins of 7.62x25 I only have two Rommy and two crappy Polish tins left, which I'll probably never shoot since I can't replace them.

I'm super pissed that I didn't get more of the 8mm mauser.  Bought 1 can way back when and assumed, stupidly, that I'd just get more when I ran out.  Fuck me.

That and .303, dammit.  Now I've got 2 K98s and an Enfield that are damn near impossible to find cheap ammo for.

I feel your pain.  I wish I would have picked up a crate of 91/30s when they were < $70 per rifle

In the future, Just bundle all orders into one shipping container and send them to me.  I'll be happy to take all that junk off your hands, no charge.

I remember ordering the SOuth African .308 for around 26$ per battle pack.

I had tubs and tubs of it.

You and me both.  I always thought of getting one and waited.  Now I would have bought 3 for that price.

New rifles like the AR?  Definitely a good time.

Surplus?  Not so much.
