So I bought my 4th APEG and it doesn't want to fit on any of my lowers. All of the others have been VERY tight fitting, but this is the first time that it just will not go. Have any of you had the same experience? Do I just need to try to mill out inside to allow enough room? I'm guessing it's 1/8"-3/16" from seating all the way on the three different lowers I tried it on.

Call the shop and swap it out?

By the time I pay the shipping back to Texas it's a net gain of about $8. After I really think about it I might just mess around with it. Just wondering if anyone had any experience trying it before I get out the dremel.

I've never paid shipping to return a defective part...or in my case idiot mistake...back to LT. I'd call them before wasting time and probably ending up with a product you aren't satisfied with.

On the last warranty repair I sent in (optic mount), I paid the shipping to LT. They didn't offer and I wasn't too worried about it. When the repair was complete (they replaced the lever), they charged the card I had on file for $8 for return shipping. That was the first time I've ever experienced anything like that from a company. They didn't tell me they were going to do that when I initially contacted them about mailing it in. I just let it go.

Appreciate that but I got it to work. Evidently the first time I tried to jam it on it scraped the plastic inside the ears down into a roll at the bottom. I couldn't see it at first but once I did and ground that out I got it to seat properly. Thanks all and sorry for ringing the alarm a little prematurely.
