Finished my AR 9 all PSA on a Glock compatible lower, with an AR 9 buffer .It passed several function checks and operated flawlessly for 300 hundrd rounds
However When I do a function check on it now, the trigger wont reset. (It will when firing live ammo) this is something that just happend. After I got home I took the upper off and without letting the hammer smack into the reciever, tested it again, it reset with no problem. I am a bit baffeld by this, do you folks have any idea what this may be? |

The bolt isn't going rearward far enough. Gun gets dirty, and the bolt gets sluggish.
The buffer weight may be heavier than is needed. Or the ammo is a touch underpowered if It runs fine when clean. Do this... Don't clean the gun, put a mag in, with only one round Shoot, and see if the bolt locks back. If not, clean and oil the gun and repeat test. Did it lock back ? If so, get a lighter buffer. ETA, if you don't have a BHO, do the test and see if it functions. A lighter buffer will probably cure it. |

Concerning the symptoms, I had an AR-15 that did the same thing. I would fire a round and the next round would chamber, but the trigger was not reset. I would manually reset the trigger and fire again. I had built the lower from a PSA parts kit. I replaced the fire control group and the problem went away. Must have just had a bad spring or something. |
