Has anyone ever used these C.M.M.G. Inc. (Link Below) mags; teflon coated, with stainless follower and braided wire spring? They seem quite pricey at $24 each. I do like the stainless follower and based on my Sig experiences.... Braided wire springs are better than standard wire. I'm thinking it may be cheaper for me to just buy good grade teflon mags with green followers and upgrade to the C.M.M.G. spring and follower. Any Opinions? C.M.M.G. AR-15 Magazines |

You migth get more feedback in the "magazines" forum within the AR15 technical discussion area. I haven't persoannly tried any yet. I'm using the NHMTGs (30rd, green follower, mil-spec) that we sell pretty much as is, although I am experimenting with Magpul Lumpy plates on the bottom of a few just for grins... Steve/RRA |

I'm sure the CMMG mags are good, but personally I think the braided spring is kind of a solution in search of a problem. For my $$$ its MagPul P-Mags. I've been getting mine from Brownell's for a little over $11 a piece. Lightweight, nearly indestructable, feed well, MagPul followers, no rusting on polymer, several colors to choose from, easy to dis/reassemble, and inexpensive allows me to buy 2 for every CMMG mag you listed. -Hershey |
