Thanks for the reply, i guess noone has really reviewed this since this is a relatively new brand.

This is all i could find, and i found the part about <1MOA on several stores websites, so it might be true. All of this came from other websites, which is why i asked.

This is imported by ATI and made by MKE in Turkey. This high quality ammo is made to NATO specifications and lot tested to assure less than one MOA at 100 yards.

Each case arrives with a 2 page QA cert and honestly is subjected to far better checks than what Ive seen from ATK.
MKE holds the license to produce for H&K and is approved for sale to DOD.

Yes you read correctly - these are 30 round boxes. One box - One mag.

These are GREAT rounds.

AMERICAN TACTICAL IMPORTS has been appointed as the first and only exclusive importer of this quality ammunition and will offer it to limited distributors of good standings in the USA.

MKE rooting back to the 15th century, is the leading company in Turkish Defense Industry, keeping the modern and high technology in priority. MKE derives its strength from dedication to technology, unconditional consumer satisfaction and production performance at world class high technology plants in order to have a strategic position in the global market. MKE has been the main supplier of the Turkish Armed Forces, under various names, since its establishment and gained its current legal status as a state company in 1950. MKE, having a large range of products, not only serves the Turkish Armed Forces but also takes share in the International Defense Industry Market by exporting to more than 40 countries.

American Tactical ammunition is newly manufactured to NATO specifications. Boxer primed, FMJ (SS109 5.56x45MM Partial Steel core)

Me too... that's the only thing stopping me from ordering a case.

My OCD side does hate the fact that it's 990 rounds not 1K... I'll have to find someone on the EE to sell me an extra 10

Im going to go ahead and get 4-5 boxes.

Unfortunetly the only kind of test i can do is

-if it fits in the magazine
-if it fires
-if it hits the target!
LOL! I dont have any fancy equipment.

I can see how much penetration it gets compared to Prvi M855 though, im sure velocity has a direct impact on penetration. I could also test how it groups.

BTW, you could order 1020 rounds, and give your friedn 20 rounds!  But my OCD will kick in, and i might have the urge to do some painting of those bare tips!

Brian,

I realize ATI is just the importer and not the manufacturer.  That having been said, I have an ATI marked (korean?) 30 rd gray steel (alum?) AK-47 magazine that hasn't met my modest expectations.  Magazine mouth too wide, wobbly follower, 4th or 5th loaded round will pop out when trying to load more.

I ordered some Turkish SS109 this morning... any idea if its green tip true M855?

Thing is, the ammo is so new there aren't really many reports, period. Right?

Seems hit or miss (or the first thread had a poster with a .223 chamber shooting it) but good things in the second thread... oh the decisions

Just got some.

When it comes to looks its up there with Prvi M855.

Green sealant on the primer, primer has a 3 "prong" crimp.

Bullet definetly is sealed with some kind of tar. Beullet depths seem very consistent

It has a very nice looking packaging.

I'm trying various brands/weights in my early Mini 14, so far the ATI 62 gr is the most accurate I've tried by far.
