| It seems like alot of other AR building companies have an 18" SPR upper/barrel available, why doesnt RRA, I am building an 18" upper right now, and would love to have an RRA 18" SPR upper. Im sure that I cant be the only one who thinks this. |

We'll have several new barrels (yes...some of them are the type that several folks have been clammoring for)in the new catalog, but that won't be one of them. We are running an 18" stainless Varmint bull barrel, but not an SPR-style at this time. Just in .223 we have over 50 barrels (not all are cataloged, some are limited runs, etc...) already...and we add more throughout the year, every year. Steve/RRA |

The biggest deal with these and the new DMR style uppers is price over $1100 for just the uppers!!! I would love to see RRA make a limited run of SPR or DMR uppers and under cut the price for a quality piece as they did with m4's, 458 SOCOM, the 308 and varmit rigs. I know the LAR -8 isn't ready yet but as soon as RRA annouced they were trying the prices on the DPMS and AR10 dropped a little. Still I am a loyal RRA customer and would love to see a SPR upper maybe in a year or two.... |

We do have Coyote rifle and carbine upper halves, they just aren't cataloged. I have hundreds of non-cataloged, yet available, versions and variants of rifles and uppers. Far too many to catalog or even put on the website...it would get so clutterd you would never find what you wanted. You may notice, on occasion, that the upper half you receive is invoiced as a different model number than what you order....that's because it already existed pretty much as ordered (or even exactly as ordered)with a different number. Anytime (okay...Monday through Friday, 8-4 Central Time)you're on our website and don't see exactly what you're looking for, call our Sales/Customer Service Department tol free at 866-980-7625 and they can help you out. The new barrels are some that we've been offering in limited quantities (generally as overruns of barrels that we had made for special orders) previously. I haven't finalized which barrels will be included (page space versus available barrels), but I'm looking at light weight CARs and Mids initially. The kits were originally intened to have no substitutions, as we were trying to keep them to where we could have them on the shelf, ready to ship when ordered. That lasted a couple of months. When demand for everything started to go up, and up, and up, our ability to keep them as shelf stock evaporated, and we have been allowing limited subs since...sub green, sub grips, sub the lightweight R4 bbls, etc...as long as it really doesn't deviate too far from the kits' basic style/model. I don't know exactly, but I expect it to be a little bit heavier due to the aluminum handguard. Shouldn't be by much, as there are other offsets (gas block versus front sight housing and side sling swivel, etc...but the majority of the weight (BBL, receiver, carrier, etc...) should all be just about the same.
