Since the Masada will have quick change bbls, will the shorter length front handguard be interchangeable as well (I'd assume so).

I'm contemplating buying a Masada (hopefully in 6.8 SPC) with the 18" bbl , longer front handguard and folding stock.  Then, applying for an SBR tax stamp.  After receiving the stamp, I coud buy the shorter handguard and the 11.5" bbl in 6.8 SPC as well as a 5.56 bbl and bolt.

I figure, doing it that way, I could have a nice longer range rifle by just swapping bbls. and a nice plinking rifle in 5.56 or 6.8.

Is this possible or a pipe dream?

Thanks,
Sean

That is exactly how we designed it to be.

Outstanding!   The more I find out about this rifle, the more excited I get.   Now, if I can only wait until February to get one!  That'll be the hard part.

Thanks again for the answers and help.

Take care,
Sean

Is February the 'official' date? Or is it more like a we hope in Feb. Date?

Because if it is I will be changing my purchase plans for early next year

There is no "official date".  We're planning on a "first quarter of 2008" availability time frame.

Ya, no official date.  Magpul is hoping to be able to take orders by SHOT '08.   Sorry for my misleading post.  Hope you'll accept my apology.

Just as long as I can get my grubby paws on one
