I understand there is a huge difference between the metal magazine and plastic magazines for the 7.62 OBR and metal is always more reliable.  My question is, are the P-Mags reliable for the 5.56 OBR or is there a metal magazine on LT website that runs better?  I am interested in the 30 round magazines only.

Thanks

That would be the 30 rounders made by HK, they are of course expensive.  Not for sale by LT, but on sale right now at Midway for only $48.99 each!

Don't waste your money on the HK mag's expensive and heavy. 4-5 Pmags VS 1 Hk. Here's a novalty number your mags if you notice an issue with one move it to your training stuff. Then buy a new PMAG to replace it. I have several early supposedly inferior PMAGS gen 1's that I got from the good DR.D himself. They still run in my LaRue's,Colts, and other 223 platforms. I have several with a few thousand rounds used in a variety of climates from desert to swamp with no issues.

I am not saying they are flawless just have a system to track if you do develop issues.

Metal is rarely more reliable than the PMag.

We all know the answer to this but I would still suggest bringing this thread over to the "Magazines" section of the forum.

I can understand taking it over to the magazine section but I want to see what the LT owners think.  Thanks for your suggestion it is appreciated.  Are you an LT owner and what you think for the 5.56 OBR mags?

Yes I do own the OBR 7.62, OBR 5.56, PredatAR 5.56, and a Stealth. I use PMags on all of them (modified to my state's 15-round capacity limit) and all of them work great. Other reviews of the PMags show them to perform very well compared to metal 5.56 magazines. Just look through the "Magazines" section of the forum.
