So all in all, I am super pleased with BCM. Great prices, fast shipping, etc. The only thing that grinds my gears is how on every order they ship, they opt for signature confirmation. I understand it if you were to order a lot of high dollar merchandise but when I have only $60 of stuff and live in a secure apartment with only 3 others, it makes it very annoying. Especially since my mail person doesn't believe in me signing a sheet of paper telling him/her to leave it here.

Perhaps leaving an option for it when you order is possible? A box to check saying yes/no.

Any input?

BCM normally ships UPS. Register online for UPS My Choice and you can give authorization to leave the package at a location of your choosing (door, porch, mailbox, etc.) WITHOUT a signature. This is what I did with both of my BCM upper receiver groups that I ordered a few months ago. I believe UPS calls it a "Signature Release" on UPS My Choice. Good luck!

That's odd, I received an upper on Monday and there was no signature required. It was sent UPS but most of the small stuff I order from them is USPS w/o signature.

Never had anything from them that required a signature and that includes a complete upper.

I don't ever remember having to sign for something from them.

Maybe cause you live in a apartment?

You live in an apartment. Most couriers require a signature for that.

BCM had nothing to do with it.

I think it has a lot to do with the carrier.  My usps guy often just signs for me, but I give him a present for Christmas each year.  The lady who fills in on his day off doesn't even bring packages out if they are even slightly big - she just leaves an attempted delivery card even though I am right inside.

I got a bravo upper the other day.  No signature required.  I got 2 the week before and it was adult signature required.  Maybe value based?  Although the carrier just marked it with my name as he knows me and didn't actually sign. I am sure if I wasn't there he would have done the same and just left them as I live in a safe area.

Early this summer I got a package and they actually called to confirm I ordered it as I was shipping to a different address than my billing address.

I am sure it is part carrier and part some complicated algorithm that helps eliminate risk.

Never had to, until my last upper which was recent. It required a sig for some reason. Past uppers did not.

The apartment thing makes sense, but at the same time I've never had that before from the numerous other places I order from online(firearms and other) even though I always select USPS.
