As always, thanks for looking

Several times per month I receive e-mails and IMs from ARFcommers who are trying to put together an AR spare parts kit like mine. Since my spare parts kit is made up primarily from parts obtained piecemeal from Colt, BCM etc it's hard to point people in the right direction with a ready-made solution made from top shelf components.

It would be great if BCM put together a field survival kit of common AR small parts that are frequently lost or broken. Sort of like the kits that Bushmaster sells, but consisting of quality BCM parts. As Mr Rogers is fond of saying, "parts ain't parts".

Would BCM ever consider doing something like this?

Here's an example of the Bushmaster "Field Survival Kit":

-Cam Pin
-Extractor with 2 Pins and 2 Springs
-Extractor Insert
-Firing Pin, 2 Firing Pin Retaining Pins
-Disconnector and Spring, Hammer with "J" Pin and Spring
-Hammer Pin
-Trigger Pin
-Trigger Spring
-Safety Detent and Spring
-Magazine Catch Springs
-Gas Rings (3)
-Sight Adjustment Tool
-2 Armorers Punches for Field Disassembly.

Or their "Field Repair Kit"

-Extractor
-2 extractor springs
-2 extractor spring insert
-disconnector
-gas ring set
-extractor pivot pin
-firing pin
-2 firing pin retaining pins
-cam pin
-six commonly needed springs

If Paul already sells something like this please accept my apology...and please give me the link so I can start handing it out whenever someone asks.

Thanks in advance!

Excellent idea.  I like it.

But, may take a bit to get togather, desk is full of projects.

Thanks much for the info and feedback!

Nice! Thank you Paul

I hope you sell a zillion of em

It will be a great day for me when all I have to do is point someone to a BCM link and say "buy this".

My parts box always gets a workout during carbine classes. While I'm always happy to help out, it sure would be nice if more of the students had their own spares.

I've bought the spring and pin kits from Shrubmaster. It's hard to navigate their catalog these days, plus I would prefer higher quality stuff like BCM. So price it right and it will sell.
