I have heard nothing but good things about BCM, and I already think they are a great company. Today I just ordered about $600 worth of stuff from them. I have a question about one of the items.
I bought a upper reciever (not a barreled one) and Im pretty sure it wont have the BCM markings (kinda wish it did, I like the BCM logo) but are there "real" BCM uppers? Or just some other company and their sold on BCM's site. The reason I bought the upper was because I know that BCM is quality and from what I have heard a great Customer Service. |

BCM does not have a forge. At some point up the line there are other companies involved. This does not mean that they aren't quality uppers, though. I believe they are the same uppers used in the BCM upper assemblies, however, they are not marked as such.
These receivers are not marked because someone might put a junk barrel in them and sell it as a "BCM upper" - buyer has problems, buyer complains on the internet or to his friends about how much BCM sucks, everyone loses. There may be other reasons, but this is a primary one. |

Thats the same reason I am careful when I buy aimpoints, with all those knockoffs around you really have to know how to identify a real one. |
