I have a ltwt 16" car non chrome lined that I have decided to make my home defense rifle. How do I keep the bore lubed well enough to prevent corrosion, but can also keep it ready to shoot at a moments notice?

I have a chrome lined barrel, but if you use a preservative type cleaner like CLP or Hoppes #9 and then follow it with a dry patch you should be good to go.
You don't want to leave a significant amount of any lube in the bore.
