I have a ruger 22 mag 24 inch barrel I need cut to 16 and threaded 1/2 x28. At 16 inch the diameter is .730 is this enough thickness to thread and have enough shoulder for suppressor.

Ok, I finally got my suppressor home and now I need to get this barrel out to you. Question, can I cut off 6 inches with a hacksaw for shipping. The barrel is 24 inches and finished I would like around 16.25. The barrel is off a Ruger 77/22 magnum and has been removed from action.
