I'm waiting on my first AR which is going to be a 14.5" 5.56 tOBR w/ a Surefire Brake. What kind of barrel break in does everyone recommend? Thanks for the help!

Load full mag and insert in rifle;

Fire until empty;

Repeat until out of ammo.

The only thing you need to do is give it a good cleaning from the factory.  Barrel break in is unnecessary.

Send ammo and rifle to me. Upon return, clean. It'll be dirty.

I clean the barrel after each shot of any new rifle for the first 10 shots because I figure it can't hurt....although I could be wrong.

Thats what I did with my hunting rifle, so I figured I would with my tOBR too. Hopefully I get a lower soon and I will be that much closer!

One shot then clean is an unecessary pain in the ass. Just be prudent and use common sense. Out of the gate don't fire off a bunch of ammo so fast and long that you can fry an egg on it. Eventually it will be well seasoned and use it as necessary. Don't overwork or overthink this.

I do this with all my barrels.  It's not the rifling you are breaking in, but the throat area.

It takes about an hour and can't hurt.

YMMV

I e-mailed LaRue regarding this and their response was:
"For "break-in" on your rifle, we recommend that you use 69 or 75 gr ammo for at least the first 300 rounds.  After the "break-in", work the 55-62 gr ammo in to find the load it likes the best."
