chrome moly is a steel alloy used to make the barrel. Chrome lining is an option that improves barrel life and makes it easier to clean.

thanks..... so is a chrome lined barrel better than stainless steel? i have a feeling that answer is going to depend on the weapons usage, could someone elaborate?

You're right...while there are certain generalizations about which bbl is "better"...it's all going to depend on your use, needs, etc... Steve/RRA
