Dear Vortex, With the Gen III Razor 1-10 price increase and the introduction of the Strike Eagle 1-8x24 how about a "tween" option? Maybe a 1-8x24 FFP in the Viper PST line? If you could cue off the current styling of capped turrets and go with a 34mm I think you'd be on to something. Keep the power max at 8x so you're not necessarily competing directly against your flagship offering but also give the consumer something different that the 1-6 Viper PST. Price it at around a Grand. Use the EBR-9 or maybe the SE's EBR-8 reticle. And while I'm telling you how to run your business what about another reticle option for the Gen II Razor HD-E. Keep the bright SFP center dot but add some additional holdover into. Maybe sort of an enhanced JM reticle. A bit more Christmas tree stuff. Wind holds and the like. Thanks. |

Having just purchased the new Strike Eagle 1-8x24 FFP I am more convinced now that Vortex needs to work on some type of Gen 3 Viper. To be blunt, the new Strike Eagle sucks. Heavy and illumination that does nothing other than change the color of the reticle. It just isn't bright enough. |

Hey Melvin some insightful thoughts here. As we've grown the lineup, you've seen examples of implementing new tech and features throughout it (Razor HD Gen II 1-6 evolved to the Gen II-E, and now the Gen III 1-10, and now again in the Strike Eagle lineup of LPVOs). With that in mind, it isn't out of the question for the Viper PST to evolve, but don't have any concrete plans currently. Also appreciate your feedback on the Strike Eagle 1-8. While it is a bit heavier, it's optically superior to the SFP with a much more technical reticle and provides a FFP offering for folks on a budget. That said, your points are all fair and we'll be sure to pass them along to our product development team. |

I've seen a number of others that lack usable brightness and have a reticle that's too small to see without illumination at 1x. A tough problem to work out, for sure. Then again I think you guys basically redefined the market with the Gen III 1-10x24. Thanks again. |
